Delete your ClassFactor account

You can delete your ClassFactor account and study data at any time, from inside the app. Here is exactly how, and exactly what happens to your data.

How to request deletion

Four steps, entirely self-service. You do not need to contact us.

  1. Step 1

    Open Settings

In the ClassFactor app (iOS or Android) or on the web, go to Settings and scroll to the bottom of the Account section.

  2. Step 2

    Choose “Delete account”

Type DELETE to confirm. Nothing is removed at this point — this step only guards against a misclick.

  3. Step 3

    Open the emailed link

We send a confirmation link to your account’s email address. It is valid for one hour. Your account stays exactly as it is until you open it.

  4. Step 4

    Deletion completes immediately

Opening the link deletes the account straight away. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it.

Signed in already? Go straight to Settings. If you cannot sign in — for example you have lost access to your email — write to privacy@classfactor.com from any address and we will verify ownership another way.

What gets deleted

Permanently, and without a recovery window. Export anything you want to keep first — decks can be exported from the Decks screen.

  • Your account, name, email address and sign-in credentials
  • Every deck, card, note and uploaded source document
  • All study history — reviews, quiz and exam attempts, streaks, XP and mastery
  • AI tutor and Study Coach conversations
  • Subscription records, entitlements and usage allowances
  • Notification preferences and registered devices
  • Support tickets you have opened

What we keep, and why

We would rather say this plainly than claim everything disappears.

Billing and transaction records
Kept in de-identified form — the link to your account is removed, but the record of the transaction remains. Payment and tax law requires us to retain these, and we cannot delete them on request.
AI usage and cost records
Also de-identified. These carry no study content — only a count of processing that was performed, retained for billing accuracy.
Anything held by Apple or Google
If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, your purchase record belongs to that store, not to us. Deleting your ClassFactor account does not cancel a store subscription — cancel it in the store, or you will keep being charged.

Payments made through Stripe are the same story: Stripe keeps its own transaction records under its own obligations, and deleting your ClassFactor account does not reach into them.
